Witchhazel
Witchhazel has long been recognized for the extract we know and use as an astringent. The plants themselves are quite attractive, growing to 8 to 12 feet tall. Their growth habit is upright and spreading. The yellow or gold flowers are fragrant, and appear from October through December with "Common" Willows, creating an interesting winter display. Vernal Witchhazel shrubs bloom in late February or early March.
