- Look up nurseries in your area that sell young mulberry trees. Call them just to make sure they haven't sold them all. If you cannot find anything in your area, order seeds online.
- Till an area of land. Know that once you have your mulberry tree or seeds, till a 2x2 area in a sunny spot, or greenhouse. Dig a shallow ditch to get the maximum amount of water run off. Plant your seeds or tree in most shallow point of the ditch. Water immediately after you plant it, for if it is a young tree transitions from a pot to open soil are always rough. If it is a seed water will help it germinate.
- Keep it healthy. To keep pets or pests away, sprinkle Sevin dust around the area. If it is a tree, spray the entire tree with Sevin spray to deter insects. Water at least every other day.
- Be patient. It will take a long while for the tree to finally have fruit but when you can see small green berries spray more Sevin on it to keep bugs from eating your berries! When fully ripe, mulberries are black and are easily picked. After the harvest wash the tree with plain water to help prevent diseases. Enjoy your berries!
